Weekly Nets

COARES Weekly Nets

With the exception of our monthy in-person meetings, COARES holds weekly nets over the air to allow amateurs to check their radio gear, and to participate in the weekly topic. Topics range from discussions of COARES business, disaster response preparedness, and other Amateur Radio related topics.

Nets are held on Wednesday evenings at 8:00 pm, local time on our K8DDG/R repeater (147.060 MHz +600 khz), or on our backup repeater, K8DDG/R (444.275 Mhz +5 Mhz).  A PL tone of 94.8 Hz is required to access our repeater systems.

If you wish to become a Net Control Station for our weekly nets, contact our Net Manager, Kevin O’Harra, KD8IIB.

Weekly Nets in MP3 Format

If you were unable to check in to one of COARES’s Wednesday night on-the-air nets, wish to catch something you missed during the net, wish to understand more about net operation, or simply wish to find out what COARES is involved with, then you’ve come to the right place. As server space will permit, MP3 recordings of the weekly nets will be posted here. Older recordings will be removed, as new recordings are made available.
