The Franklin County Ohio ARES operates a series of repeater systems on 144 MHz and 440 MHz. These repeaters can operate as normal FM analog voice systems or P25 digital voice systems. They automatically switch modes based on the incoming signal.

In addition to these systems, there are two additional units which are totally portable and able to “respond” to a disaster site.  We can install the portable units and quickly be on the air with a remote communications system capable of links to other repeater systems.
